Exploring Abercrombie & Kent and Hyatt Hotels in Chicago

Chicago is home to two of Accent on Travel’s luxury travel partners: Travel company Abercrombie & Kent and Hyatt Hotels. Along with an exclusive group of about 20 travel advisors, Accent on Travel’s Sarah Crimian recently traveled to Chicago for an in-depth exploration of both.

Abercrombie & Kent bills itself as “the world’s premier luxury travel company, with an unrivaled legacy of creating memorable, inspiring adventures in more than 100 countries on all seven continents” – and they earn it.

From African safaris to Antarctic cruises, A&K can tailor a journey for you along with our Accent on Travel advisors.

Having the opportunity to check out the headquarters of two major travel brands was a unique experience and I gained deeper insight to all the products and experiences they offer,” Crimian said.

Having booked luxury trips for her clients with A&K many times before, Crimian said she enjoyed meeting the A&K staff in person. Putting a face to the name felt like reconnecting with an old friend – one who will help serve Accent on Travel’s clients in finding the perfect experiences for their travel.

“A&K’s small group tours give our clients the private tour feel, but with so much included,” Crimian said.

The trip also included a visit to the Hyatt worldwide headquarters where the focus was on their luxury hotel offerings like Park Hyatt and Andaz. The dialogue included brainstorming about advisors needs for our clients, as well as what they are doing to help the advisor community.

Crimian stayed at the luxury Park Hyatt Chicago, centrally located on famed Michigan Avenue steps away from shopping, restaurants and just a 4-minute walk to the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago

Head to the hotel’s seventh floor to grab a fabulous cocktail from the garden bar Nomi, offering views and fresh summer breeze!

“The room itself felt very large for a city hotel. The window seat in the room with views over Lake Michigan really added to the ambiance and gave you a sense of place,” She said.

Guests should also check out the famous Cindy’s Rooftop restaurant perched atop the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel. In addition to wonderful food, the venue offers a spectacular view of the marina and the famous Cloud Gate “bean” sculpture in Millennium Park – with all of Lake Michigan as the backdrop.

“No city beats Chicago in the summer; it’s the perfect combo of breeze and sunshine. Seeing Chicago from the gorgeous Park Hyatt and Cindy’s Rooftop gave me a new perspective on what a beautiful city Chicago is,” Crimian said.

Accent on Travel is all about pairing our advisors with the best in luxury travel. Abercrombie & Kent and Hyatt Hotels are valued partners that can offer our clients the best vacation experiences across the globe.
