We always heard back from Kristen within a day, if not the same day. She also let us know in advance if she was going to be out of the office and away from email/phone. Kristen paid attention to every detail and made sure we understood every aspect of the package she assembled for us. We would recommend Kristen and Accent on Travel without hesitation.
"Where you hail from and what makes you proud to be from there and how that influences your travel profession?"
I was born and raised in Delaware, the First State! Delaware is quite small and I know it very well. Being from such a small state, definitely makes you want to spread your wings beyond, but still stay grounded in your roots. The location of Delaware is one of the prime reasons I love it so much. There are several, exciting big cities within a few hours drive such as, Philly, DC, Baltimore and New York. You have an abundance of history and culture within an arm's reach, but exploring these cities for many years excited me to see more of the world and all of it's wonder!
"Specialties/Certifications in the Industry"
After 15 years as a travel consultant, I've obtained extensive experience with many destinations and specialize in several. Some of the brands I specialize in are Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Disney Travel and Cruise, Collette Tours, Trafalgar, Globus Family of Brands, Apple Vacations, Viking River Cruises, Sandals and Beaches Resorts to name a few. I can help plan custom trips throughout USA and Europe, honeymoons and destination weddings to the Caribbean and Mexico, Escorted tours through Asia, Europe and South America, cruises in the Mediterranean, Alaska, Caribbean and beyond.
I've traveled to many Caribbean Islands and Mexico via cruises and staying at all kinds of different resorts. I've visited France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and England and the Middle East. Also, have traveled throughout the USA and Hawaii. But one of my favorite experiences, was traveling to Japan. It was a last minute opportunity to go and I took advantage. Honestly Japan was not on the top of my "must do's". But once I got there, I knew it was meant to be! The country is beautiful with it's high energy bustling cities like Tokyo, and mountains and rural farm areas in distance. Kyoto was a my absolute favorite, as I felt that it was almost frozen in time - like what "old fashioned and traditional" Japan was like. The people were so kind and gracious. Japan was a delightful surprise and I plan to visit this beautiful country again. Finally, one of the reasons it was my favorite was because I experienced it with one of my best friends!
